Semaglutide is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes by regulating blood sugar levels.

Semaglutide stimulates the release of insulin in response to meals, which helps to regulate blood sugar levels. Additionally, it slows the emptying of the stomach, increases feelings of fullness, and reduces the appetite. This combination of effects can lead to decreased caloric intake and weight loss.

In clinical trials, Semaglutide has been shown to be highly effective for weight loss. Participants who received Semaglutide lost an average of 14.9% of their body weight, compared to 2.4% for those who received a placebo.

Common side effects of Semaglutide can include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, headache, and dizziness. More serious side effects, such as pancreatitis and kidney damage, are rare but possible. However most experience little or no side effects when the proper program protocol is followed.
